The AB320 Connecting rod boring machine is a versatileequipment, ideal for machining new connecting rods aswell as for reconditioning used ones. This model ischaracterized by its ease of use and its ability to meet theprecision requirements necessary for con rod machiningThe machine structure includes a sturdy base, a boringspindle head, a table both with manual and automaticlongitudinal feed, and a rod positioning fixture.
The machine offers three different positioning systems:
1. The first system uses expandable mandrels suppliedwith the machine and references the bore of the big end orsmall end ofthe connecting rod.
2, The second system uses a V-block and the pin mountedon the connecting rod.
3. The third system uses a plate and two clamps referencedto the lateral plane ofthe big end ofthe connecting rod.These systems ensure parallelism between the axes of thebig end and small end of the connecting rod, allowing theoperator to focus on tool setting and centering the bushingto be.
